Member Rules: Attendance

Do I need to have an Meetup account to participate in the Bellevue Coffee Shop Crawl?

It's not a strict requirement, but it's strongly encouraged. Some of the locations we visit are limited in terms of seating/space, so we purposefully limit the number of RSVPs when visiting those locations.

With that said, it's understandable that some people may have anxiety about going to meetups and/or having a profile on the Meetup website. We all do socialization differently, and we don't want to exclude people in this situation from being a part of the group.

So, if you're on the fence about joining Meetup, please avoid attending the limited-RSVP events, but do feel free to check out our unlimited-RSVP events (such as our Dote meetups).

Can I bring a +1?

The general feeling here is "the more the merrier", but we still have to take seating/space limitations into consideration.

The answer is, do feel free to bring a +1 (or +2) to an unlimited-RSVP event, but if the event is limited-RSVP, check beforehand and see if there are enough spots to accommodate yourself and the person you're bringing.

No-Shows:

If you RSVP to a Meetup with the Bellevue Coffee Shop Crawl, and later find that you cannot attend it (for any reason), please change your RSVP status to No as soon as possible.

While no-shows aren't that big of a deal if we're meeting in a larger space with near-unlimited capacity, it does have a strongly negative effect if we're meeting at a smaller space where RSVPs are limited. In those cases, not showing up to the event means that someone who really wanted to go wasn't able to, which is unfair for that person as well as the group as a whole.

Organizers reserve the right to remove anyone from the group who displays a consistent pattern of no-shows.

Late Arrivals:

Please do your best to show up on time. If you're running late, it's not a big deal, but if you arrive too late, we might be about to wrap things up, or (worst case scenario) we may have already left!
